Overview

Microsoft’s Monetization Strategy and Licensing team is at the heart of transforming products and services into value for customers and partners while driving growth for Microsoft. A critical part of this organization is the Operational Excellence and Transformation (OET) team that helps to measure and improve the performance of product launch delivery to our end customers, across the company’s broad portfolio, such as Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender, Azure, Power Platform, Windows, and our artificial intelligence services such as Copilot. This team also regularly identifies additional processes within the organization and helps to redefine and optimize these processes to create additional impact.

We are looking for an Operations Process Manager to join our team to drive the transformation of some of our most important launch and monetization processes. In this role, you will design and execute processes, ensuring clarity of business outcomes and alignment to organizational goals. You will apply process tools and methodologies to drive compliance, maintain governance, and optimize performance. By monitoring key metrics and interpreting data, you will identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement, ensuring processes deliver efficiency, accuracy, and value.

Key aspects of this role include driving operational agility across launch workflows. This includes anticipating and mitigating risks across the process lifecycle, and incorporating feedback to refine and transform processes. You will also have the opportunity to write requirements for and enable adoption of innovative AI solutions that enhance scale and accuracy in Marketing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Applies curiosity and systems thinking to identify improvement opportunities and uncover connections across processes, teams, and business functions.
  • Drive end-to-end governance for processes, maintaining documentation for flows, controls, and underlying systems to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Monitor and evaluate process performance through data analysis and KPI benchmarking; translate insights into actionable recommendations for optimization and automation.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks across the process lifecycle, implementing controls and sharing best practices to improve operational resilience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address pain points, maintain engagement, and implement solutions aligned to industry standards and organizational goals.
  • Support execution of product launches by driving operational rigor and process success across launch workflows.
  • Write requirements for and champion adoption of innovative AI solutions that enhance scale, accuracy, and efficiency in launch processes.
  • Consult with business planning, product marketing, sales, business operations, and engineering on go-to-market strategies for new and updated offers, promotions, and pricing.
  • Analyze to post-launch incidents to resolve business impacts and harness learnings to improve future.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 2+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience substantiating claims with compelling evidence.
  • Experience driving clarity in ambiguous situations with adaptability and a growth mindset.

Process Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
