Dandy uses cutting-edge tech to empower dentists to give their patients a smile they’re proud of.
The Role

Dandy is transforming the massive and antiquated dental industry—an industry worth over $200B. Backed by some of the world’s leading venture capital firms, we’re on an ambitious mission to simplify and modernize every function of the dental practice through technology. As we expand our reach globally, Dandy is building the operating system for dental offices around the world—empowering clinicians and their teams with technology, innovation, and world-class support to achieve more for their practices, their people, and their patients.

About the Role

We're scaling fast, and we need an Operations Manager who thrives in complexity and moves with urgency. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our lab operations engine, driving the strategy and execution required to scale production at unprecedented volume and speed. This isn't just about keeping the lights on—it's about building the operational backbone for hypergrowth.

You'll need to understand our lab network down to the most granular detail: how each partner operates, where the bottlenecks are, and how to unlock capacity across the system. You'll lead projects that determine how we invest with lab partners, how we scale operationally across a distributed footprint, and how we coordinate that scale cross-functionally—from Shipping Logistics to Quality to Product & Engineering.

If you're energized by deep analysis, complex systems, and building scalable infrastructure, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lab Network Strategy & Scale Planning

    • Design and execute the capacity planning framework that will enable 10x volume growth across multiple third-party labs

    • Develop and continuously refine our lab usage and investment strategy—deciding where, when, and how we scale with each partner to optimize turnaround time, quality, and cost

    • Build models to project lab capacity, evaluate lab throughput, and guide operational investment decision

  • Operational Performance & Tracking

    • Own daily and weekly on-time ship rates, lab quality metrics, and SLA compliance across the lab network

    • Create and maintain dashboards that deliver real-time visibility into lab performance and surface early indicators of risk

    • Partner with Supply Chain team to implement commercial incentives and disincentives to drive operational changes across the lab network

    • Partner with Data and Engineering teams ensure infrastructure supports proactive decision-making during rapid scale

  • Cross-Functional Issue Resolution & Escalation Management

    • Lead operational escalation response, resolving issues across shipping, intake, quality control, and SOP compliance

    • Act as the central coordinator across Fulfillment, Customer Experience, Quality, and broader Ops to ensure smooth and responsive lab operations

    • Work with Product and Engineering teams to develop our tech to systematize issue tracking and improve response times and root-cause accuracy

  • Process Optimization

    • Identify systemic gaps in lab execution and implement process improvements that scale

    • Help define and evolve our SOPs to ensure consistency across a growing lab footprint

    • Capture learnings from lab growth initiatives to create scalable playbooks for future lab partnerships and expansion

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years in operations, strategy, or program management roles; experience in custom manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, or dental/medical devices a plus

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in building dashboards and operational reporting (SQL, Looker, Excel)

  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with evolving priorities

  • Mandarin reading and speaking proficiency a strong plus

Travel & Location

  • Based in the US

  • Willing and able to travel to China on a quarterly basis
