Role Purpose:
As Team Leader Operations, you will be is responsible for leading the Operations Underwriting Support team to provide administrative support to Underwriters. This includes accurately recording policy details, producing reports and supporting the credit control function. As part of a small team you will support multiple lines of underwriting teams across the region.
Key Accountabilities:

Lead a team of Underwriting Assistants. This will include managing workflow and priorities; quality control and ensuring all work is completed within SLA

Coaching and development of direct reports including setting of goals and development plans.

Provide SME support to projects.

Ensure that all risk information and correspondence is correctly stored in the document repository, thus establishing a complete and accurate audit trail of all substantive business activity.

Ensure that all relevant underwriting information is included for the peer review, risk entry and data checking review process within the designated timeframe. Underwriting information submitted electronically to be indexed and updated as appropriate within specified timeframes.

Maintain tools containing key underwriting information to facilitate compliance sanctions, fraud and financial crime checks pre bind and monitoring post bind.

Assist underwriters’ during the underwriting process, production of management information, business development and marketing.

Provide administrative support to underwriters and the Operations team in areas including credit control, data quality and training.

Provide support and oversight of BPO processing tasks as required

In partnership with Head of Operations Pacific, develop and drive process improvement initiatives where appropriate

Ensure adherence to all compliance and risk management guidelines at all time

Supporting the Head of Operations Pacific, as required.

Any other ad hoc tasks, as defined and agreed with the Head of Operations Pacific

All functions to be performed in accordance with Everest target operating model, policies and specific procedure manuals, as amended from time to time.
Professional Experience:
-
Three years relevant experience leading operations teams in the General Insurance sector

5 to 10 years experience in a front facing Operations role
-
Ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner

Knowledge of underwriting and facultative reinsurance processes
-
Experience of supervising an offshore service partner is desirable

Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is highly regarded
