The Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic oversight of the Actuarial Hub office.
This includes overseeing infrastructure setup, support hiring and onboarding local staff, establishing workflows and performance metrics, and ensuring smooth coordination with headquarters.
The successful candidate will ensure that the Actuarial Hub meets its service level objectives, operates within budget, and maintains high employee engagement and customer satisfaction.
The position will also manage recruitment, ensure HR compliance, and enhance employee development and retention.
This role is ideal for someone with strong operational, HR and interpersonal skills who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments in a multi-national setup.
This role will have a small local management team reporting directly, and a larger functional team which reports to respective global functions.
Lead the establishment of the new Actuarial Hub office, including facilities setup, vendor coordination, and local compliance.
Lead all HR topics by aligning HR strategies with business goals to foster a high-performance culture, leading recruitment for teams and optimize sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding, driving training programs and initiatives to boost engagement and growth, implementing appraisal systems and guide managers on goal-setting and feedback, overseeing payroll, benefits, and ensure regulatory compliance and promoting diversity, resolve conflicts, and enhance processes for efficiency.
Serve as the primary point of contact for any issues related to the location operations.
Ensure compliance with local laws, corporate policies, and security protocols.
Support engagement with local universities and develop collaboration / partnerships with them and other stakeholders like local relevant associations (financial services or SSCs).
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local and global department heads, external regulatory authorities, and university partners. Act as the primary liaison to ensure alignment on operational objectives, proactively address concerns, and facilitate effective collaboration to support the Actuarial Hub’s strategic goals.
Develop operational procedures and performance metrics aligned with corporate standards.
Ensure timely and high-quality of support to internal stakeholders and departments.
Collaborate with department heads and corporate leadership to implement strategic initiatives.
Manage location budgets, cost controls, and resource allocation for the Actuarial Hub.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that reflects the company’s values.
10 years of experience in operations and HR, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial role, ideally leading a Shared Services Center (or similar) structure in Morocco.
Proven experience establishing or scaling up shared services or support functions.
Experience managing cross-functional teams and diverse service lines.
Experience working in a global setup and ideally in multiple countries.
Prior experience with budget management and resource planning.
Familiarity with shared service models, SLAs, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in process design and performance measurement.
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a startup-like environment.
High level of organizational and planning capabilities.
Strong understanding of compliance, risk, and quality assurance in shared services.
Deep knowledge of HR processes, compliance, and stategy alignment.
Ability to drive HR initiatives and deliver results.

At least a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
