This Position reports to:
Business Manager - Commercial&Operations
As Local Operation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all respects related to Operations of the system and solutions business in Industries Business Line in Robotics China.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of Local Operation including a scope of Project Management, Project Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.
- Lead and oversee the local project execution team, ensuring that ABB ROBOTICS Policies are consistently followed.
- Supervise project execution and performance management through project reviews with management and Project Managers to ensure contract fulfilment and approves any project deviations.
- Ensure the portfolio of projects is managed consistently based on best practices and ABB ROBOTICS Policies, Controls and SOX requirements, and follows good methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal procedures and that projects are closed as per contracts entered with customers.
- Drive operations resource planning based on system/solution sales and take actions to close potential gaps in project execution capability and capacity.
- Develop the solutions know-how and project execution experience in local team.
- Lead implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for the local project operation under the guidance of the Global/Local BL Operations Manage. Ensure that lessons learned from project execution are analyzed and conclusions are incorporated in continuous improvement actions.
- Coaches, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
- Parallelly takes over senior project manager role if needed
Qualifications
- More than 10 years’ experience, preferable in automation/robotics, or with system project background.
- A degree, ideally Engineering or comparable with training in Business Administration and Management.
- Excellent communication skills and can-do attitude.
- Excellent leadership and people development skills, relevant and successful change management experience.
- Strong customer-focus and proactive approach.
- Fluent in English.
