Summary/Function:
The Network Architect is responsible for the design, documentation, planning and execution of network-related solutions, including routing, switching, firewalls, wireless and voice platforms. Network Architects ensure unified and consistent design principles within their domain are appropriately implemented.
Qualifications:
•Desire and ability to learn and think independently.
•Four-year college degree and/or significant related work experience.
•Prior management experience.
•Advanced networking technical knowledge and skills related to: routing (BGP, OSPF, static), switching, WiFi, firewalls and modern VoIP practices.
•Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
•Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to communicate technical concepts.
•The ability to document complex architecture.
•Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work successfully with a variety of personalities and various management levels.
•Ability to safely lift and carry as much as 50 pounds.
•Experience working in an AGILE environment.
•Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
•Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
•Organized and detail oriented.
•Ability to travel as needed.
•Ability to obtain/retain Industry required Certifications: Series 99 - Operations Professional Registration (SIE & Series 99)
Duties:
•Participate in the Enterprise Architecture Committee.
•Assist IT teams in developing technology plans
•Develop, refine and enforce the architectural principles that govern EA activities
•Develop, refine and communicate architectural artifacts such as diagrams, plans, strategies and visions
•Research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends
•Defines, explains and advocates technology strategy
•Aids business stakeholders in understanding business requirements and translating those requirements to technology plans
•Provides strategic consultation to business and IT leaders
•Aligns architecture strategy with business goals and culture
•Recommend the tools and components used within the enterprise
•Research new technologies and stay current with relevant technology concepts/thoughts.
•Collaborate with project management and IT leaders to ensure progress towards architectural alignment
•Evaluate, document and refine existing business processes across functional groups
•Support IT Systems team(s) through tier-3 troubleshooting and consultation as needed.
•Other duties as assigned.

The potential base pay hiring range for this role is $107,000 - $132,000. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate. This role is eligible to participate in applicable D.A. Davidson variable compensation programs.
