Job Summary:
As a key member of the Product Quantitative Analytics team, this position is responsible for providing analytical support on structured energy products such as Guaranteed Bill Product (GBP) or Fixed Bill (FB). This includes the oversight of algorithms and calculation of demand forecast at customer level for millions of customers across multiple existing markets within, (FL, GA, IL, MI, OH & PA).
The position is also accountable for leading cross-functional team to provide analytical support routinely. In addition, a major point of emphasis in this role will be developing new forecast models to support the company’s initiative of offering and growing new Structured Products in expanding markets and thus bring tangible gains to the company.
The position requires demonstrated capability of leveraging statistical and machine learning techniques to improve existing models and build new analytic solutions.
Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities by Competency Functional Expertise:
- Provide customer specific demand forecast timely and successfully to facilitate the continuous success of existing structured products - Lead cross-functional team to provide analytical support and visualized business insights to ensure the streamline process of renewing current and enrolling new customers
- Build and implement model enhancement process to continuously improve the forecast and reporting accuracy - Provide demand forecast for First of Month (FOM) and Year to Go (YTG) process in selected Local Distribution Centers (LDCs) each month
- Develop, back test and implement new analytical models by leveraging advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to support different company initiatives and strategies as requested
- Develop and provide summary presentations to support commercial operation and financial planning
- Support internal and external auditing on models and analytics tools

Qualifications
Education, Certifications/Licenses:
Required:
- Master’s degree in quantitative field (Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, etc.)
Preferred:
- PhD in quantitative discipline from an academic institution is highly preferred
Related Work Experience: Required:
- 5-10 years of applicable working experience in data analytics, preferably in the energy industry or finance industry
- Minimum five years of experience involving modeling (regression, machine learning, validation)
Preferred:
- Previous supervisory/management experience as a people leader
- Applicant may possess a combination of equivalent education and work experience
Specific Skills & Knowledge:
Required:
- Strong communication skills across various levels within the organization.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle or SQL Server
- Extensive experience with statistical programming tools such as Phyton, R, SPSS and SAS
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage and mentor individuals. Must be self-motivated with minimal supervision required
- Strong business/financial acumen with a working knowledge and understanding of business operations and drivers
- Ability to conduct business analysis and predictive modeling with design recommendations for presentations to senior leadership
- Demonstrates integrity and trust in all situations
- Ability to develop relationships and positively persuade others throughout the organization at all levels
Preferred:
- Creativity in solving unconventional problems, entrepreneurial drive to learn new skills and technologies
- Demonstrated relationship management experience
- Working knowledge of Power BI or Tableau, Databricks and Azure
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- The incumbent works in an office environment with a hybrid schedule, 4 days onsite with 1 remote day from home, and subject to change per business needs.
