What your role and typical day might look like
At Merkle we help organisations define, design, build and transform into the business of the future. In tackling this challenge, we have had outstanding success in transforming the sales, service and marketing functions of some of New Zealand’s most iconic companies.
Building on our success, we’re searching for an extraordinary Delivery Lead to join us. Someone skilled in Project Management, Product Management and working in an Agile project environment delivering enterprise applications. Ideally, you’ll have experience from a consulting background that allows to you helping to align clients and projects teams together to deliver value through impactful Salesforce solutions.
In amongst the role to deliver projects end to end on time, budget and scope, you’ll be collaborating with our wider consulting teams and customers to resource manage the right people at the right time to implement best in class solutions to make a real difference to our customers and theirs.
Responsibilities could include
- Plan and manage delivery using agile techniques and frameworks, ensuring delivery of quality products and user experience, utilising tools such as story mapping, PI planning, workshop facilitation and other activities to ensure success
- Act as scrum master for delivery teams, providing coaching to embed Agile practices into delivery of products and services, inspire productivity and enable effective delivery
- Lead, manage and support delivery team/s to successfully deliver key milestones, key business goals and product outcomes within scope, on time, on budget and to expected standards
- Manage and develop stakeholder relationships including steering committees, through your effective communications, documentation, negotiation and issues management.
- Ensure that you implement continuous monitoring, evaluation and improvement of all aspects of product delivery including analysis of customer feedback, facilitation of agile ceremonies and artefact production, identification and mitigation of risks
A bit about you
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Delivery Manager, Project Manager, Product Manager or similar capacity leading on and offshore teams
- Experience working in an agile environment, ideally with a Consulting or Professional Services firm delivering digital technologies at an enterprise level
- A sound understanding of SDLC, organisational change and human centred design methodologies
- Certifications in project management, agile methodologies and product management would be beneficial
- A self-starter and confident communicator with facilitation and presentation skills - as you’ll be bringing customers along the transformation journey
- A problem solver – organised, analytical and naturally curious
- Strong English language skills, written and verbal as you’ll be leading workshops, engaging stakeholders and creating project documentation along the way.
