The Senior Portfolio Manager will provide strategic leadership and oversight of a range of multi-asset portfolios with over $11 billion in AUM. This individual will lead asset allocation, portfolio construction, and investment decision-making while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in cross-asset portfolio construction, a strong framework-driven investment approach, and the ability to develop the teams institutional capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a portfolio manager for more than $11 billion in multi-asset portfolios, directing asset allocation, portfolio positioning, and investment decision-making while looking for opportunities to grow the portfolio.
- Own the asset allocation philosophy and process, bringing a qualitative, macro-aware perspective to complement quantitative investment capabilities.
- Establish clear investment processes and decision-making frameworks that create structure, scalability, and consistency.
- Maintain overall investment accountability, including oversight of portfolio construction standards, risk management, and investment implementation.
- Partnering with the MAS Portfolio Managers, institutional distribution and NYLIM portfolio managers to develop and execute a deliberate strategy to expand MAS's capabilities to serve institutional investors, including but not limited to: building out institutional-grade portfolio management capabilities, developing a compelling institutional narrative, and ensuring the team presents credibly and effectively to sophisticated allocators
- Drive continuous improvement in investment processes, with a focus on scalability, repeatability, and investment excellence.
- Champion the adoption of AI and agentic AI tools across the investment process, including portfolio construction, research synthesis, and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a client-facing representative, presenting investment strategy, portfolio positioning, and performance outcomes.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of investment management experience, with meaningful exposure to multi-asset portfolio management and macro strategy.
- Deep expertise in asset allocation and cross-asset portfolio construction with strong, differentiated views on investment strategy.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing investment professionals in a senior leadership capacity.
- Commercially minded and relationship-driven; builds trust quickly across diverse stakeholders
- Polished communicator with the ability to represent investment strategy credibly in client meetings and investment discussions.
- Track record of building or significantly improving investment processes and frameworks.
- Experience working with quantitatively oriented investment teams and bridging quantitative methods with qualitative investment judgment.
- Strong framework orientation with the ability to build repeatable, scalable investment processes.
- Active interest in and commitment to leveraging AI and agentic AI capabilities across portfolio construction, research, and investment workflows.
- Skilled at building trust with internal stakeholders and peer portfolio managers and acting as a connective tissue across the investment organization.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $240,000 - $330,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
