As the Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the master production schedule for the site to ensure alignment with customer demand, production capacity, and inventory objectives. This role plays a critical part in supporting on-time delivery, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring compliance with aerospace quality and regulatory requirements.
What you’ll do
- Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory targets
- Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure schedule feasibility and execution
- Analyze capacity constraints and adjust schedules to optimize throughput and minimize delays
- Monitor production performance and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts or disruptions
- Ensure alignment with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
- Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Coordinate material availability with procurement and supply chain teams
- Track and report key metrics such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory levels
- Lead weekly scheduling meetings and communicate priorities across departments
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, scheduling, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, FAA requirements)
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment
Desired Skills:
- Aerospace or highly regulated industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of MRP/MPS systems and production planning principles
- Experience with ERP systems
- Knowledge of capacity planning, demand forecasting, and inventory control
- Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
