About this opportunity
You will join the Ericsson Routing Suite (ERS) team, a small but highly important engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining ERS. The suite is used across several Ericsson products, including MINI-LINK, SMX, CMX, TN, and eVIP.
The team works across the full software development lifecycle. Its responsibilities include developing new capabilities, resolving customer technical reports, improving product quality, and executing the strategy for a modernized ERS that can support future ML Aurora products.
Since the team is small and its technology is strategically important, every team member has a meaningful impact on Ericsson products and customers.
As a Master Developer, you will contribute deep expertise in IP routing protocols and advanced software development. You will solve complex technical problems, implement robust and maintainable solutions, support customer needs, and help shape the evolution of ERS.

What you will do
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Ericsson Routing Suite software
- Design and implement solutions for complex IP routing protocol challenges
- Develop high-quality production software in C and C++
- Build and improve test automation using Java, Python, and Robot Framework
- Contribute to the modernization of ERS and its readiness for future ML Aurora products
- Investigate and resolve customer technical reports and product issues
- Lead technical subprojects, prototypes, and engineering investigations from concept through implementation
- Collaborate with software developers, testers, architects, product stakeholders, and customer-facing teams
- Communicate technical decisions, risks, progress, and recommendations clearly to diverse stakeholders
- Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
The skills you bring
- Expert-level knowledge of IP routing protocols and routing software development.
- Master-level software development experience in C and C++
- Strong experience with Linux-based software development and debugging
- Advanced experience with test automation using Java, Python, and Robot Framework
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex software engineering problems independently
- Experience leading technical workstreams, subprojects, prototypes, or similar initiatives
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries
- A flexible, delivery-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Interest in, or practical experience with, applying AI to software development, testing, or engineering productivity
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience developing MINI-LINK or Ericsson Routing Suite software.
- Experience with Ericsson product development processes and large-scale telecommunications systems.
- Practical experience applying AI techniques in software engineering or network technology.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Previous technical leadership experience, such as Scrum Master, Operational Product Owner, technical lead, or equivalent.
