About this opportunity:
Ericsson is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the Platform Center of Excellence, a global team focused on platform modernization, automation, and operational excellence.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of platform architecture, engineering, and operations. You will help translate high-level architectural designs into practical, implementable solutions that can be adopted and operated effectively at scale. Working closely with architecture colleagues and geographically distributed operations teams, you will accelerate delivery, improve operational readiness, reduce execution bottlenecks, and provide technical guidance across engineering and operations.
This is an opportunity to contribute to large-scale transformation initiatives while helping shape modern, reliable, and efficient platform services across Ericsson.
What you will do
- Translate platform and infrastructure architecture into implementable technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and improve infrastructure automation and platform engineering capabilities.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines that enable reliable, repeatable, and efficient delivery.
- Develop scripts and automation to reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency.
- Partner with architecture, engineering, and remote operations teams to ensure solutions are production-ready and supportable.
- Troubleshoot complex platform, infrastructure, deployment, and integration issues.
- Identify execution bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement across delivery and operational processes.
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and practical support to engineering and operations teams.
- Contribute to platform modernization and automation roadmaps in collaboration with global stakeholders.
- Promote engineering practices that improve reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence
The skills you bring
- Strong professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven working experience in Google Cloud (or in any other cloud provider), Terraform, and Kubernetes/GKE
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management.
- Practical experience designing, implementing, or operating CI/CD pipelines.
- Scripting and automation skills using one or more relevant languages or tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability across complex technical environments.
- Ability to interpret architectural designs and turn them into clear, deliverable technical implementations.
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams.
- Experience managing stakeholders and aligning technical decisions with delivery and operational needs.
