As a Customer Loyalty Student, you will support Irving Oil’s Customer Loyalty team in the development, performance, and reporting of loyalty campaigns. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn about customer experience, loyalty strategies, and how competitive offers are brought to market. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams and supporting communications across multiple regions.

The Customer Loyalty team, based at the Irving Oil Home Office, manages loyalty programs and campaigns across Canada, the United States, and Ireland. They collaborate with IT, Marketing, and Operations to deliver customer communications through email, SMS, and app push notifications. By analyzing program performance and survey results, the team ensures loyalty initiatives drive engagement and deliver value to customers.

Responsibilities:  

  • Assist in building tools, processes, and approaches for managing campaign and offer details in trackers

  • Review weekly summary reports, collaborate with the operations team on issues, and provide insights from loyalty program surveys

  • Support the planning, scheduling, development, deployment, and performance management of customer communications (emails, SMS, app push notifications)

  • Work with IT and stakeholders across business lines to support Marketing Cloud initiatives

  • Contribute to ad hoc requests for research, reporting, data analysis, and process improvement

  • Excellent time management with the ability to manage multiple priorities 

  • Self-motivated; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications

  • Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data

Your Experience:  

  • Currently enrolled in Business Administration with a strong interest in Marketing 

  • Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to school

  • Compensation – The weekly salary for this role will be based on your current work term. 1st - $795, 2nd - $875, 3rd and additional terms - $960
