As a Contract Specialist you will support the Turnaround & Operations Procurement team in sourcing maintenance and capital materials and services, managing logistics, and ensuring procurement activities are executed seamlessly to enable a successful and timely turnaround.
Every year the Saint John Refinery plans the maintenance of critical equipment. Timely acquisition of services and material is critical to the success of these turnaround events. The Turnaround Procurement Team sits with the TA Execution Team at the Refinery to support these events. The team is made up of Materials and Service groups, each consisting of three members. Together, they work to secure the necessary resources and services, collaborating closely with other supply management teams to onboard suppliers, manage the full procurement cycle, reporting and coordinate transportation and logistics.
Responsibilities:
Assist in sourcing materials and services based on turnaround requirements
Assist in the creation of Request for Quotations (RFQs), Purchase Orders (POs)
Support supplier onboarding, participating in commercial meetings, and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
Your Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong attention to details
Your Experience:
Currently enrolled in a Business Administration program, completing 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study
Interest in Supply Chain Management is considered an asset

Compensation – The weekly salary for this role will be based on your current work term. 1st - $795, 2nd - $875, 3rd and additional terms - $960
