As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in providing financial support to Irving Oil’s Refining & Supply business. You will be responsible for delivering financial statements and operating performance analysis, preparing financial and operational reports, contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and business case development. This includes producing KPI scorecards, stewardship reports, monthly profit and loss reports, and variance analysis.
The Financial Planning & Analysis team works closely with field and area operating teams at the Saint John Refinery, providing financial support and engaging regularly with stakeholders to prepare forecasts and evaluate business performance. The team sits within our Home Office with our Irving Oil Financial Planning & Analysis team.
Responsibilities:
Provide financial and operational stewardship reporting and analysis
Support budgeting and business planning processes
Conduct business performance analysis and identify improvement opportunities
Assist with ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required

Your Experience:
Currently enrolled in a Business Administration program completing 2nd or 3rd year of study with a strong interest in accounting or finance
Must have completed at least 1 year of post-secondary education and be returning to school

Compensation – The weekly salary for this role will be based on your current work term. 1st - $795, 2nd - $875, 3rd and additional terms - $960
