RMP’s Big Five Goals

Our Approach to Special Education Compliance

At Rocky Mountain Prep, special education compliance is a lever for equity, not just adherence. We ensure every student with a disability receives services that are both legally sound and academically rigorous. Our approach prioritizes proactive systems, precise documentation, and continuous monitoring to guarantee fidelity to federal, state, and district requirements. We invest in building the capacity of school teams through clear guidance, coaching, and training, so compliance translates into meaningful access to grade-level content. By centering students and partnering with families, we uphold our commitment to inclusive, high-quality education for all scholars.
 

Manager of Special Education Compliance Will…
  • Monitor and audit IEPs, FBAs, and BIPs to ensure full compliance with federal, state, and DPS requirements
  • Lead network-wide systems to track IEP timelines, service delivery, and compliance indicators
  • Oversee evaluation, re-evaluation, and amendment processes to ensure procedural fidelity
  • Maintain accurate records for state reporting, including December Count and audit submissions
  • Partner with school leaders and special education teams to strengthen compliance practices
  • Provide training and coaching to staff on special education law, documentation, and best practices
  • Collaborate with district authorizers and external partners to ensure aligned implementation
  • Identify compliance risks and proactively develop solutions to address gaps
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to network leadership on compliance and program integrity
 

All Teachers at Rocky Mountain Prep will:

Take ownership of student outcomes by setting high expectations, using data to guide instruction, and ensuring all scholars grow through strong planning, rigorous teaching, and timely re-teaching. They build inclusive, relationship-centered classrooms by implementing proactive routines, culturally responsive practices, and consistent communication with families. RMP teachers collaborate closely with colleagues and support staff, contribute to school-wide initiatives, and support daily operations to maintain a safe and organized environment. They also model RMP’s PEAK values in all interactions and remain flexible and responsive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment aligned to our evolving Concept Essence.

 

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree (any subject)
  • Knowledge of and experience with Special Education laws, compliance indicators, IEP monitoring and auditing processes, policies, procedures, programming, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of curriculum, supervision, instruction, school-based processes and operations, culture, and community, along with a strong student focus on individualized student needs
  • Strong knowledge of Colorado Academic Standards, methods of ensuring they appear in IEPs and Inclusive Practices for students with disabilities. 

Must possess the following:

  • Current Colorado teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s)
  • Special Education teachers must be certified in Colorado. If your license is from another state, you must complete the transfer before the first day of work.

Salary

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $60,000 to $95,000, based on experience and qualifications.
