As a Manager in the Veterinary Software organization, you will serve as a thought leader and strategic partner, ensuring our leadership team has access to impactful insights and analysis. You will lead the design, build, and deployment of data analyses that provide critical visibility to our clients. We are a highly collaborative and dynamic team that has direct impact on the company’s financial success. Our work helps clients make data-driven decisions that drive growth strategies. In this role you will be a “manager-doer” – diving into complex / evolving data to uncover insight using SQL and other languages, while also managing direct reports.
You will lead the design, implementation, and delivery of end-to-end analytics solutions, from data layer development in SQL through visualization.
You will partner with senior stakeholders across VetSoft to deliver high impact data sets, reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
You will act as a thought leader in the analytics space, partnering closely across the organization to support strategic initiatives.
You will lead product analytics architecting and analytical execution for multiple initiatives, projects, and programs.
You will present your reports, data stories, analysis, and recommendations to business leadership teams.
You will develop knowledge of IDEXX data systems and processes, recommending and developing new data sets for analysis.
You will collaborate across the engineering organization to develop strategies that align with VetSoft application development.
You will work with data source systems and target systems to identify data issues and data gaps.
You will manage one or more direct reports.
You have deep product analytics experience – including experience with customer data and customer analytics platforms.
You have experience in quantitative analysis, problem solving, and data visualization.
You have visualized data using tools like Looker, Tableau, or Metabase - or have an interest in learning.
Experience partnering closely with Director+ level stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of data and databases with experience using a data warehousing platform such as Snowflake (strongly preferred)
Skilled in leveraging AI technologies to enhance data analytics and drive actionable business insights (strongly preferred)
Advanced data querying skills with SQL (required)
Strong presentation skills: you can turn analysis into a compelling story
7+ years of experience working with in big data and analytics
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
