We are looking for you to join our team as a Manager General Manufacturing 1 based out of Apopka, FL.
The Manager General Manufacturing 1 will be responsible for the manufacturing team that builds and tests various products for multiple programs. This individual is responsible for a team of employees that builds and tests different products in support of multiple business needs and programs.
What you will get to do:
Lead and assist Technicians and Assemblers by ensuring they have tools, support, training, work-life balance, and proper documentation to perform their jobs.
Audit assembly areas to ensure company policies and procedures are being followed.
Monitor and plan labor by allocating people to projects, aligning overtime, and scheduling time off.
Maintain acceptable operations performance by monitoring metrics, like weekly delivery cadence, on-time to contract, and hours per unit, and develop a return to green plan for deficiencies.
Control the departmental budget for your workforce.
Coordinate efforts with Operation Program Managers (OPMS) for labor support, production priorities, and early identification of issues related to delivery execution.
Develop technicians and assemblers through cross-training efforts to develop an agile/flexible workforce. and encourage them to develop their career path within NG.
Communicate information throughout all levels of the organization.
The candidate should have a desire to support, develop, and lead others.
Basic Qualifications for the Manager General Manufacturing 1:
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment; OR a Master's Degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment; OR 9 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment in lieu of a degree.
Leadership experience
Experience using SAP
Ability to obtain a security clearance
US Citizenship required.
