Within Chewy, the Chewy Health team is focused on re-defining how vets and pet parents care for their pets and are on a multi-year journey to build a set of new pet parent and veterinarian facing services, delivered via our Practice Hub platform, making it easier to keep pets of all shapes and sizes leading healthy, happy lives.
As part of this mission, Chewy Health is currently seeking an experienced Manager II, District Business Development in our Chewy Healthcare Services organization. The Manager II, District Business Development will manage a team of virtual and in-market sales team members in a predefined district owning customer relationship through the clinic lifecycle stages on PracticeHub software, our new online platform to streamline the prescription process and meet pet parents where they already shop today. The start of clinic journey is through enrollment on the correct program on PracticeHub and work as a trusted advisor to clinics, driving ongoing engagement virtually to help veterinary clinics save time and grow revenue.
The Manager II, District Business Development will be a high performing professional, experienced in successfully executing a consultative sales approach with responsibilities including, strategic relationship building, account planning, leveraging data to influence customer actions, prospecting, upselling and engaging clinics. The Manager II, District Business Development is a problem solver who dives deep into clinic needs or business problems with minimal guidance to develop data-driven account plans that achieve clinic objectives while also improving adoption of Chewy Health software offerings. The Manager II, District Business Development is a builder and expert communicator who works cross functionally with internal stakeholders to drive process and program improvements balancing clinic needs with internal team priorities. The right candidate will have a powerful sense of urgency and the ability to connect and engage with clinics virtually and in-person.
What You'll Do:
  • Coaching, recruiting, training, and managing sales team members; a blend of both virtual and in-market members.
  • Contribute to goal setting to align with organizational goals. Track against key input metrics to (1) Measure your team's success in sales to Chewy's digital platform and (2) Evaluate the quality of the clinic's experience. Use these metrics to guide your work and uncover areas of opportunity.
  • Monitor, analyze and manage quality, activity, and compliance metrics across the district to ensure that we are effectively managing our sales pipeline.
  • Evaluate current practices and procedures to determine whether they are effective in generating sales and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Work closely with Business Development, Onboarding, Operations, Customer Success, and Customer Service to ensure a positive customer experience. Be a veterinarian and pet parent advocate, providing ongoing feedback to Product Management and Engineering to improve the client experience.
  • Develop and execute an engagement strategy for the district to ensure the team delivers on these commitments.
  • Build an inclusive and diverse culture inside your team. Create an open-communication culture and act on feedback.
  • Act as a thought leader in defining success criteria and understand business needs of clinics in a rapidly changing business environment. Create and implement strategic plans and documents for the organization.
  • Complete all administrative requirements in a timely fashion as directed by management.
  • May represent Chewy Health at local, regional, and national trade shows and exhibits to promote Chewy Health products to the animal care community.

What You'll Need:
  • 5+ years of sales experience in technology services/SAAS, eCommerce marketplace or related industries (B2B or B2C) with 3+ years in a people leadership capacity; experience in the veterinary or healthcare industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated success identifying business opportunities for clients and increasing adoption and utilization of company products.
  • Proven track record of building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts, and ensuring follow-through.
  • Proven track record of delivering results through a team.
  • Track record of developing business strategies with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed KPIs and results in a high growth, fast paced environment.
  • Experience using data (reports, forecasts, surveys) to guide decision making.
  • Experience with CSM technologies (ex. Salesforce) and Data Tools (ex. Tableau, SQL)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Position requires some travel (25-50%).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
