Metsä Group is looking for a

MANAGER, BUSINESS AI

to help identify, shape and implement AI initiatives that improve business performance and create measurable value.

This job is located in Espoo and you will be report to Director, Business AI.

What is the job that awaits you?

You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and external partners across a wide range of business areas and processes.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in applying AI across a global industrial company while helping drive one of Metsä's key transformation areas.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple businesses, functions and value chains while building expertise in one of the fastest-growing areas of business transformation.

You will:

  • Work on real business challenges with measurable impact

  • Collaborate with experienced business and technology professionals

  • Develop skills in value creation, business transformation and AI implementation

  • Help shape how AI is adopted and scaled at Metsä Group

  • Share best practices and lessons learned across the organization

Your responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess AI opportunities together with business stakeholders

  • Facilitate workshops and discovery activities

  • Support business case development and value estimation

  • Coordinate pilots and implementation activities

  • Collaborate with business experts, digital teams and external partners

  • Track progress, business outcomes and realized value

  • Support scaling of successful initiatives across Metsä Group

  • Contribute to AI-related methods, tools and best practices

What are we expecting of you?

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in consulting, analytics, product management, business development, digital development, transformation or similar roles

  • Experience independently driving AI projects, workstreams or business initiatives to measurable results

  • Demonstrated ability to manage deliverables and move initiatives forward

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to structure complex business challenges and identify practical solutions

  • Experience collaborating successfully across functions

  • Working knowledge of how generative AI, predictive AI, optimization and intelligent automation can create business value

  • Excellent communication skills in English

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences

You take ownership of your work and proactively drive initiatives forward. You are naturally curious and solution-oriented, always looking for practical ways to address challenges.
