We are part of the Cisco Hardware Engineering group, dedicated to developing next-generation technology and hardware products. The Engineering Product Compliance Team is an agile and diverse group working across all of the Core Hardware Engineering Product Lines. They lead compliance strategy, manage testing, handle certifications, and mitigate risks across the product lifecycle from design to launch.

Your Impact

We are seeking a self-motivated professional to lead the EMC, Safety, and the ODVT team, working closely with other Engineering and Manufacturing teams.As a Leader of the team, you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of 10+ engineers on EMC design and testing, safety compliance, hardware regulatory compliance, and hardware validation (HEC/ODVT).
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of hardware validation and compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure hardware products meet safety, EMC, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in test methodologies, validation processes, and compliance strategies.
  • Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and risk mitigation for hardware validation and compliance initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and certification agencies related to hardware safety and compliance.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence within the team.
  • Expand the team by recruiting and hiring qualified engineers to support growing project demands.
  • Establish new or additional laboratory facilities to enhance testing and validation capabilities for current and future projects.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading engineering teams, specifically hardware validation teams.
  • Knowledge of EMC (e.g., FCC, CE, CISPR, IEC) & Safety (IEC 62368, etc.) Standards and hardware regulatory compliance processes.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as an EMC or a Safety Engineer in the consumer or industrial electronics industry
  • Experience in hiring and team expansion, as well as establishing and managing lab facilities.
  • Familiarity with hardware validation techniques, including HEC (Host Electrical Compliance) and ODVT (Operational Device Validation Testing)

Skills Required
