Majesco is seeking a Lead Engineer, Testing for the Life and Annuity & Health Production Support Line. As a Production Support Tester, you will play a crucial role in identifying, documenting, and helping to resolve issues within our products. You will work closely with our Support and customer teams to ensure that product defects are addressed, and customer feedback is integrated into future product improvements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure highest quality of the software through best practices in testing the software that can provide delightful customer experience.
- Analyzes new tickets to develop test plans, scenarios, test conditions, test cases, test data and expected results.
- Assist customer support teams in understanding and resolving production issues reported by users. Provide guidance and support to ensure customer concerns are addressed effectively.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to prioritize, escalate, and resolve production issues. Ensure timely and effective resolution to minimize customer impact.
- Work in collaboration with Developers, SAs, BAs and customer stakeholders to ensure functional coverage and resolve issues.
- Conduct thorough testing of hotfixes, patches, and updates before they are deployed to production. Verify that issues are resolved and that no new issues are introduced.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure alignment and coordination in addressing production issues.
- Conduct walkthrough sessions with customer and resolve queries with conviction.
- Report test execution in a manner that is easy to understand and actionable.
- Enter all information in the defect tracking & test case management tools & create appropriate dashboards to ensure a clear visibility into the quality trends.
- Maintain detailed records of issues, resolutions, and testing procedures. Update and manage issue tracking systems with accurate and comprehensive information.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and production support practices. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce the likelihood of production issues.
All About You/Qualifications
- 5+ years of Testing experience within a Production Support / Software development environment
- Strong understanding of production environments, software development, and testing processes.
- Proficiency with monitoring and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow).
- Good expertise of test data creation, test case management, test case recording, reporting.
- Willing to work on hands-on from writing test cases, executing and reporting.
- Should have inclination to automate things rather than to manually execute repetitive tasks.
- Willing to take ownership of multiple business area and become expert in it.
- Ability to think of end-to-end business scenarios and bring in an end user perspective.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Other Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or global equivalent) in Computer Science or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
- Good understanding of business processes in the area of Life, Annuity & Health insurance
- Preferred Certifications ISQTB, INS21-23
