BNEW Radio & Transport Engineering (RTE) strives to be the most competitive Radio Network R&D unit in the industry. As an IVC Project & Test lead, you will be part of the Systems & IVC department at the Japan R&D center in Yokohama, part of Ericsson's global RTE organization. Integration, Verification & Certification (IVC) is vital to securing product release, performance, and market access across Radio products, RAN Compute, Site products, and RAN Features impacting Radio performance.
About the opportunity
We are looking for a proactive driver with technical project experience, a strategic mind, and strong stakeholder and communication skills. You will manage and run one or several R&D/IVC projects while also taking a leading role in product test strategy, test scope, test coverage, and efficient verification execution.
Your objective will be to align project goals, time, cost, efficiency, and test results with internal and external stakeholders. You will work across Systems, Design, IVC disciplines, and technology areas to ensure that projects and test activities progress according to plan and that the right test coverage is achieved in the most efficient way.

What you will do
- Understand and manage the full project scope, including product, technical, organizational, development-flow, and ways-of-working aspects.
- Take responsibility and accountability for committed work, delivering according to plans and overall estimates.
- Develop full-scale project plans and project-management deliverables, including schedules, cost estimates, milestones, and progress reporting.
- Manage project dependencies and critical paths, identify schedule and delivery risks, and create and follow up mitigation plans.
- Proactively manage changes in project and product scope, communicating impacts and decisions clearly to team members, stakeholders, and users.
- Motivate project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Represent IVC in pre-studies and analyze the test impact of new Radio products and Features.
- Drive Product Test Strategies covering several IVC disciplines for selected product segments, and build and evolve Test Plans for different products.
- Drive estimation meetings with stakeholders inside and outside IVC to define test scope, coverage, effort, and delivery expectations.
- Act as Project Manager for selected features or Radio products when needed, securing and facilitating test progress and handling test-scope changes with Systems and Design.
- Participate in the Technology Area - Testability to capture technology trends and reflect them in IVC Test Strategies.
- Continuously evaluate early-phase, development, release, and test processes and drive improvements that reduce lead time and increase coverage and efficiency.
What you will bring
- A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Business Administration, or a similar discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least five years of relevant work experience, including significant experience in project management, project leadership, or test management.
- Technical knowledge and practical experience with hardware and/or software development, together with experience testing HW or SW products.
- Experience leading people, project teams, or cross-functional activities and building strong, highly empowered teams.
- The ability to understand development flow from requirements through customer delivery and to connect product, technical, organizational, and test perspectives.
- Good planning, organizing, analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluent spoken and written English and the confidence to present project status, risks, plans, and strategic recommendations.
- RF and Radio knowledge is beneficial, as is experience with Radio HW/SW products.
- Leadership experience such as OPO, team lead, or MR/SP driver is beneficial.
- Lean and Agile knowledge and skills, an open-minded and innovative attitude, and an interest in constantly learning and sharing new findings.
- Self-motivation, constructive questioning behavior, a positive and passionate approach to work, and a strong team-player mindset.
