Job Family Summary:
The IT Software Engineer belongs to the job family of IT Engineering. This job family is responsible for translating system requirements and user stories into a robust, supportable design of code for the product or application. They develop and test code to ensure it functions as designed and implement code across the software development life cycle steps, preferring CI/CD tooling for deployment and integration.
Job Description:
As an IT Software Engineer at Band 2 level, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing complex software solutions to address business needs. You will collaborate with other software engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure our software solutions align with business objectives and user needs. Your role will also involve keeping current on the latest software practices, technologies, and vulnerabilities.
Specifically this role will be to build custom applications to serve R&D and provide orchestrated capabilities in the app E2E as well as integrating with broader corporate eco-systems such as Nexus, Enovia & CISPro as well as the CDL. The initial work will serve Beauty + Healthcare with the intent to take a similar architecture to other OU's in the coming years. You will collaborate with other engineers/architect around the globe as well as work process experts in CF R&D and OU R&D.
Role is expected to work Europe shift, but could be flexible to work Asia shift one day a week once onboarded. Travel would be minimal likely 1-2 times a year depending on project stage, budget etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate system requirements and user stories into a robust supportable design of code for the product or application.
- Develop and test code to ensure it functions as designed.
- Implement code across the software development life cycle steps preferring CI/CD tooling for deployment and integration
- Work closely with product and operations teams for systems/services the software integrates with.
- Play a role in architecture design of the application where applicable/appropriate.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Experience with C#, React, SQL is desirable but not mandated
- Business knowledge of R&D or Manufacturing is beneficial but not mandated
- People Mgt is optional for this role if prefer pure engineering is also ok
- Interest in SRE could also be longer term direction
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience in software development with a focus on quality and timely delivery.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages, databases, and software development methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
- Certification in Google Cloud Engineer / Azure Developer Associate is preferred.
- Familiarity with Computer Systems Validation is beneficial (CSV)
