Role Summary
As an IT Operations & Asset Specialist, you will play a dual role providing essential onsite IT support for the Singapore office and managing the end-to-end IT asset lifecycle. This position requires a presence onsite 5 days a week to ensure a reliable technology experience for local employees while participating in a global team of technical professionals. You will bridge the gap between physical office support and the critical oversight required for asset procurement, tracking, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities Onsite IT Operations & Employee Support
- Onsite Resource: Act as the primary onsite support resource, responding to employee incidents and hardware/software requests.
- Office Technology: Ensure conference rooms, shared office equipment, and IT systems function properly.
- Event Support: Provide setup and technical troubleshooting for AV technology and meetings using platforms like Zoom and Google Meet.
- User Assistance: Deliver professional service for device setup, account access, and secure remote connectivity.
- Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end IT asset lifecycle, from procurement schedules to secure disposal or recycling.
- Inventory & Audits: Conduct regular physical audits and inventories to ensure 100% data accuracy and policy compliance.
- Logistics & Shipping: Handle all shipping and receiving, managing the secure movement of assets between global locations.
- Financial Optimization: Partner with Finance to forecast budgets and track expenditures to optimize asset costs.
- Vendor Liaison: Act as the key contact for vendors regarding contract negotiations and issue resolution.
- On-Call Duties: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide urgent logistics and support, including weekends and holidays.
- AI Integration: Utilize Generative AI tools to automate repetitive administrative tasks and analyze inventory trends.
- Compliance: Partner with Security teams to follow access control, compliance policies, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
- Professional Experience: Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or IT asset management, specifically handling high volumes of orders in a fast-paced environment.
- Troubleshooting: Strong skills for common hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Tool Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel); familiarity with Zoom and Google Meet.
- AI Literacy: General experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot) to streamline workflows.
- Asset Knowledge: Understanding of hardware/software licensing, warranties, and asset tracking practices.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for vendor negotiation and internal collaboration.
- Precision: High attention to detail to ensure 100% policy compliance.
- Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation, CompTIA A+, Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM), or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals.
- Technical Toolset: Experience with Jira Service Management, JAMF, Intune, or Oomnitza.
