Key Responsibilities
- IT Department Management
- Organize and manage the IT department to deliver high-quality support and innovation.
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term departmental goals.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO).
- Maintain effective communication and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Data & Network Management
- Supervise daily tape backups, scheduling reports, and database management systems (DBMS).
- Optimize Oracle table-spaces to enhance the Hospital Information System's performance.
- Monitor network load and external connectivity, including firewall security and broadband access.
- Risk & Safety
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain interconnectivity and functionality of IT equipment (PCs, printers, drives).
- Develop disaster recovery strategies to mitigate risks.
- Staff Training & Development
- Provide IT orientation and ongoing training for employees.
- Mentor IT staff and monitor their performance through appraisals and feedback.
- Support educational experiences for IT project trainees and encourage staff participation in seminars.
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Act as a departmental representative in conflict resolution and policy discussions.
- Maintain departmental ISO audit reports and ensure adherence to ISO principles.
- Manage departmental budgets and oversee cost control measures.
- BE, B-Tech, MSc in IT or related field, or MCA/BSc with PGDCA.
- 5+ years experience in IT.
- 2+ years experience with Hospital IT Systems.
