iOS Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the mobile application of the social media platform specifically for Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.). They ensure that the app is fast, user-friendly, secure, and aligned with Apple’s guidelines.
This is a hybrid role based in Ghana
Duties
- Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for iOS devices using Swift and or Objective-C.
- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to deliver engaging user-facing features.
- Integrate APIs and services to enable core social media functions such as feeds, messaging, media uploads, and push notifications.
- Optimize app performance for speed, efficiency, and a smooth user experience across various iOS devices.
- Ensure app compliance with Apple App Store guidelines and handle deployment/release processes.
- Implement strong security measures to protect user data and maintain privacy compliance.
- Debug, test, and resolve technical issues, crashes, and bugs promptly.
- Continuously update and enhance the app by adding new features (e.g., reels, stories, live streaming) to remain competitive.
- Stay updated with the latest iOS frameworks, tools, and industry trends to integrate innovative solutions.
- Provide technical documentation and support for ongoing app development and maintenance.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Strong proficiency in Swift (and/or Objective-C).
- Hands-on experience with Xcode, iOS frameworks, and RESTful API integration.
- Good knowledge of Apple’s design principles & App Store submission process.
- Skilled in debugging, testing, and app performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Git/version control and Agile development.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Experience in publishing or contributing to iOS apps (preferably social media-related) is an added advantage.
