This is a junior engineering role within the engineering development team, focused on evaluating shaft motion tests, analyzing test data, and proposing improvements to existing processes. The position also supports hardware preparation, execution, and post-test analysis to optimize bearing performance and ensure rotor stability.
The project scope includes the following activities:
- Shaft motion and rotor stability testing under various operating conditions
- Data acquisition, post-processing, and results evaluation
- Preparation and coordination of testing hardware
- Support of turbocharger development activities, including validation testing and simulation
Contribution to design optimization and validation methodology improvements
DESIRABLE BACKGROUND
- Student in last year (of Masters) of mechatronics, machine mechanics, electronics or similar
- Previous participation on technical projects
- Orientation in mechanical design
- Software knowledge, programming skills an advantage
- Understanding mathematical/physical modelling and data processing
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Duration: 6-9 months
