Job Description

  • Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • As a member of the Derivatives team you will be responsible for the collection, formatting and loading of all counterparty statements
  • Tracking where you are in the process and any issues encountered is critical in the process to ensure a follow the sun model.
  • Running appropriate control reports as required
  • As progress is made other items within the larger valuations team may become available for cross training.
  • You will follow the processes and controls set out by team management.
  • Assist with Ad-hoc items that support the larger Global Valuations team.

Goals

  • Accurate and timely processing of statements that are received.
  • Loading of statements to the system timely
  • Advancing processes where possible within the statement collection process
  • Proper documentation of any issues or missing values from counterparties
  • Work with the US and UK based associates to address and issues from the prior day’s valuation release.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Good understanding of Derivative trade types.
  • Good understanding of operational risks and controls
  • Experience with Aladdin desirable.
  • Able to understand urgency, multitasking and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Strong work ethic and ability to provide feedback to team-members as needed.

Education and experience

  • Pursuit of a degree within the finance or accounting
  • Recent experience with data collection and entry
  • Experience with process improvement or Derivatives a plus.
