Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Interface Manager to join our team!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop and implement the interface management strategy and planning activities to ensure all system interface requirements are identified, managed, and delivered throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the primary focal point for interface work package contractors, designated interface contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to identify, define, and manage system interface requirements across all project disciplines.
- Lead and chair interface coordination meetings with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to facilitate interface resolution and project integration.
- Ensure interface-related deliverables comply with contractual requirements, project standards, and technical specifications.
- Identify and manage project system interfaces through workshops, reviews, and coordination activities with the client and project teams.
- Develop and maintain Interface Management Plans for work packages and system elements.
- Ensure system interface requirements are effectively tracked, monitored, and controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform impact assessments for interface requirements and design changes, and provide recommendations to support management decision-making.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and integration activities to achieve project objectives related to scope, schedule, budget, quality, sustainability, and operational readiness.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders and communicate interface issues, approvals, risks, and coordination requirements.
- Manage interface resolution activities and implement mitigation strategies to ensure interface conflicts are resolved in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain Interface Management Plans, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Detailed Interface Documents for system interfaces.
- Provide regular interface management reports, status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans to the client and project management teams.
- Manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure successful implementation and verification of interface requirements during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Support procurement activities by providing interface management input to tender and contract documentation.
- Support Systems Integration Testing (SIT), Trial Running, and operational readiness activities to ensure all interfaces are validated prior to revenue service.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to interface management team members.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a lead role on major infrastructure or heavy civil projects.
- Strong technical expertise in the design and construction of complex rail systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of railway project design, construction management, systems integration, and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong knowledge of modern railway systems, including signaling systems and system interfaces.
- Experience developing and managing interface management processes, plans, and documentation on large-scale projects.
- Strong leadership, coordination, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within multidisciplinary and multinational project environments.
