Job Description:
The Interface Manager is a client‑facing role embedded within an integrated client–PMC office on a major program. You will establish and manage the interface control framework across all digital infrastructure packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Define interface management procedures, workflows, and governance for design, engineering, and construction teams.
- Chair interface coordination meetings and ensure compliance with project standards and masterplan requirements.
- Identify and document all technical and contractual interfaces (fiber, towers, data centers, utilities, smart systems).
- Maintain and update the Interface Control Documents (ICDs) across disciplines and contractors.
- Track interface risks, issues, and dependencies; maintain an interface register with mitigation plans.
- Ensure proper clash detection and resolution through BIM/GIS integration.
- Review District's CMP/DMP submissions
- Coordinate between design, engineering, and construction managers to resolve interface conflicts.
- Facilitate approvals and change management for cross-disciplinary modifications.
- Monitor adherence to interface milestones and escalate delays or deviations.
- Support commissioning, IST, and ORAT by ensuring handover of resolved interfaces.
- Ensure interfaces comply with applicable codes and standards (TIA, BICSI, SBC, IEC/IEEE, MOMRAH, CST).
- Validate safety, resilience, and cybersecurity considerations are integrated at all interfaces.
- Act as primary contact point for interface topics with authorities (SEC, NWC, CST, MOMRAH, SDAIA, HCIS).
- Manage interface alignment with external concessionaires (TowerCo, FiberCo, DC operators, MNOs)
- Represent interface decisions and status in client/owner steering committees.
- Ensure O&M teams are engaged in interface reviews to validate accessibility and maintainability.
- Support red-line drawing reviews and as-built integration across multiple contractors.
- Provide interface closure evidence for Provisional Acceptance and Final Acceptance processes.
- Lead the interface management team and assign responsibilities across packages.
- Promote collaboration and transparency between disciplines, EPCs, and consultants.
- Mentor junior interface coordinators and enforce continuous improvement in interface processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ICT, Telecoms, Digital Infrastructure, or Project Management; relevant professional certifications preferred.
- 10+ years ICDs, interface registers, cross-discipline coordination, BIM/GIS clash resolution, authority/operator interfaces, risk closure and handover evidence.
- Proven city-wide digital infrastructure leadership, covering masterplans, roadmaps, fixed/mobile networks, MMRs/POPs, data centers, resilience, standards, and design authority governance.
- Strong delivery and interface management experience, from RFP to handover, including consultants, EPCs, utilities, authorities, MNOs, tower companies, fiber operators, DC operators, testing, cutover, and operational readiness.
