Job Description

The Integration Team Manager combines hands-on work with leadership responsibilities, guiding the integration implementation team and driving the successful implementation and maintenance of direct integrations between our platform and various software applications. In this role, the Integration Team Manager will actively work with customers, Engineering, and Product teams, and periodically with external developers, to scope and test macros, directly supporting integration needs before gradually delegating these responsibilities to team members.

Responsibilities include establishing and sustaining critical integrations with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, CompanyCam, Procore, Sage, and Zapier, and supporting future integrations. The Integration Team Manager will troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensure smooth data flow, and maintain optimal functionality. Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, oversight of integration performance, and engagement in new feature development are essential to this role's success. Over time, this leader will guide and coach the team, fostering a knowledge-sharing culture that empowers direct reports to manage these processes independently.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct bi-weekly one-on-one check-ins with Integration Technicians, Integration Coordinators, and Product Specialist(s) to provide guidance, track progress, and address any challenges they might face during the client integration setup/troubleshooting process.
  • Facilitating Performance Reviews with Integration Technicians, Integration Coordinators, and Product Specialist(s) to assess past and current performance and to set clear objectives for each team member.
  • Work closely with the Solution Engineering team to ideate and create unique solutions for customers.
  • Coach Integration Technicians to establish and maintain connections between busybusy and key integration partner software, including QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, CompanyCam, Procore, Sage, Zapier, Viewpoint Vista, Viewpoint Spectrum, Foundation, and other future integrations.
  • Support platform migration initiatives, such as current QuickBooks Online and Foundation migrations, by coordinating scope, timelines, and resourcing across the team.
  • Mentor Integration Technicians to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather integration requirements and ensure successful implementation.
  • Monitor integration performance and proactively address any potential issues.
  • Document integration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Assist in the development of new integration features and enhancements.
  • Support high-complexity, specialized initiatives (for example, MacroX platform development) by ensuring the initiative owner has clear priorities, resourcing, and cross-functional backing.
  • Participate in developing integration implementation workflows and maintaining and improving existing workflows.
  • Develop and implement an empathetic client engagement approach: Foster a client-centric approach by refining communication techniques to ensure nuanced discussions, active listening, and effective resolution of client concerns.
  • Prioritize client satisfaction through empathetic interactions, demonstrating genuine concern and understanding to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Partner with the QA team to build out integration testing processes, scenarios, and test environments, ensuring efficient execution of projects and satisfaction of clients.
  • Work to hold Integration Coordinators, Integration Technicians, and Product Specialist(s) accountable for meeting project deadlines and performance metrics, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Partner with the Director of Onboarding & Integrations on invoicing from third-party developers, manage project budgets, and reconcile costs associated with third-party integration partners to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Coordinate team activities, set priorities, and ensure efficient workflow among team members.
  • Ensure the integration team meets project deadlines and maintains high-quality and performance standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
