About the opportunity
We are seeking a senior ICT Program Director to lead some of our most complex and high-impact telecom software programs in the BSS/OSS domain. You will own large, multi-country transformations that are critical to both our customers' businesses and Ericsson's success.
Operating at executive level, you will shape strategy with sales and customer leadership, steer major decisions and ensure that ambitious programs and deals remain deliverable, profitable and on track. You will be accountable for successful contract fulfilment, customer satisfaction and overall program performance from initiation through completion.
This role is primarily based in Düsseldorf, but can be based in other Ericsson locations across Europe.
What you will do
- Own large, complex transformation programs and multi-country BSS/OSS deliveries with significant strategic and financial impact.
- Lead Prime Integration activities, taking end-to-end responsibility for coordinating Ericsson, customer, partner and subcontractor contributions.
- Co-shape program and deal strategy with account teams, balancing customer ambition, commercial objectives and delivery feasibility.
- Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, including CTO and C-suite level, and act as a strategic advisor.
- Lead executive governance through steering committees, escalations and key decision forums.
- Design and establish robust program structures, including the organization, delivery approach, plans, financial models and vendor strategy.
- Take accountability for contract fulfilment, customer satisfaction, scope control and management of change requests.
- Provide strong, visible leadership to cross-functional and multi-country teams, partners and suppliers.
- Manage complex partner and subcontractor landscapes, including contractual performance, delivery quality and cost efficiency.
- Own program financial performance, including forecasting, margins, cost control and identification of upsell or add-on opportunities.
- Share best practices, mentor other program leaders and contribute to strengthening Ericsson's delivery capabilities.
The skills you bring
Must-have
- Extensive experience as an ICT Program Director or in a comparable senior leadership role, typically with 10 or more years of experience leading large, complex programs.
- Deep expertise in telecom BSS/OSS domains and a strong understanding of how these systems support operator environments.
- Proven experience leading large, multi-country transformation, integration or delivery programs with significant budgets.
- Experience with Prime Integration and the ability to coordinate complex delivery ecosystems across customers, internal teams, partners and subcontractors.
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding, with a proven ability to manage contract fulfilment, protect margins and meet customer expectations.
- Significant experience engaging with CTO and C-suite stakeholders and driving decisions in demanding environments.
- Advanced skills in program governance, risk and issue management, scope control and financial steering.
- Strong leadership presence, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders and virtual teams around clear goals.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to make complex topics simple and actionable for senior audiences.
- Fluent English; additional European languages are an advantage.

- Experience gained with a telecommunications operator, systems integrator, telecom technology provider or other organization delivering large-scale BSS/OSS transformations.
- Experience leading mission-critical programs for European or international operators.
- Recognized project or program management certification and familiarity with relevant telecom or service-management frameworks.

- MBA or comparable business education.
