We are looking for a Bi-lingual HR Generalist.

SUMMARY 

Contributes to the day to day of the plant Human Resources department to include associate relations, staffing, company-associate communications, associate leave management, organization development efforts and associate customer service.  As a member of the Human Resources team, fosters positive associate relations, engagement and retention within the plant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • As a member of the plant Human Resources team, participate in the daily workflow of the plant Human Resources department to include providing superior customer service to associates and other internal customers, processing personnel changes and benefits paperwork, plant communications, staffing and hiring, leave of absence management, timecard oversight, associate relations and investigations, and other direct support of the facility. 
  • Maintain accurate employment files and records, to include timely update of SharePoint and ADP/HRIS records, related to events such as new hires, termination, leaves, transfers and promotions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate review of completed associate timecards at each pay period’s bi-weekly close. 
  • Coordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs and processes, including transitional work and accommodations.  Ensure timely and accurate entry in ADP to facilitate timely and accurate pay and records.
  • Assist with the administration and communication of SK Food Group policies, procedures, programs and benefits. Provides guidance and support to associates and management around policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring and on-boarding processes. Works with outside suppliers to provide associate services, such as temporary associates.
  • Address associate relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other associate concerns.
  • Ensure that programs are applied in accordance with company's policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, and two years of related Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

PHR, SHRM-CP or related Human Resources Certification preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish, or other prevalent language at the plant location, preferred. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to effectively use HRIS and payroll/timekeeping systems. ADP experience is preferred.
  • Ability to partner with cross functional teams to ensure business goals are achieved.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

REQUIRED TRAINING

This position requires training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Training is also required 

on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.
