Human Resources Communications Specialist

As an Human Resources Communications Specialist, your creative writing and HR expertise will help thousands of employees navigate and appreciate pay, benefits and career programs-making a measurable impact on their daily experience.
How You'll Make an Impact

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Champion our efforts to simplify and elevate the employee experience across pay, benefits, development, and career growth
• Draft and edit engaging, clear communications for multiple channels, including print and digital
• Manage HR content on internal and external websites
• Execute the setup, testing and distribution of employee email communications, with a high standard of quality and accuracy
• Collaborate with program managers and teams to ensure alignment on key messages, channels and timing/sequencing, and technical accuracy for communications
• Maintain and uphold HR branding in all materials and across channels
• Manage the HR communication content calendar across all areas
• Lead the design and execution of the bi-weekly HR Connect e-newsletter and monthly HR training emails
• Manage other duties as assigned and support HR Communications team on special projects
• Perform other duties as requested

What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or related field or equivalent experience

Experience

• 3+ years communications experience

Skills

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Demonstrated writing and oral communication skills, with strong attention to detail and proficient at proofreading
• Team player with the ability to collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization and build strong relationships within and outside the HR Communications team
• Understanding of employee communication principles and strategies
• Proficient use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn and use new technologies
• Able to take initiative; effective at prioritizing multiple projects /responsibilities; comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to think creatively
• Results driven

Preferred Qualifications
Skills

• Demonstrated experience with HR content area(s)
• Ability to use web design software
• Ability to use Adobe Campaign and Adobe Experience Manager
