Job Description Summary

Reporting to the SEA HR Cluster & dotted line report to the Country CEO, this role is a combination of a strategic & hands-on operational HR leader expected to put in place a solid HR strategy and excellent HR executions with a sound understanding of the business needs as part of the country leadership team. This role will be part of the SEA Cluster HR leaders, working closely with the COE team in the country BP capacity to deliver high-performance, strong engagement and solid organization capabilities meeting business success today and tomorrow.

The purpose of this role is to lead the development and implementation of an integrated country/cluster HR strategy that partners with the business to identify and achieve strategic business goals. The role will lead the strategic development of the HR function to build our organisational capability for today’s and tomorrow’s business needs (leveraging the expert network in HR as needed) by creating a high-performance culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy

Uses a deep understanding of the market/cluster / global brand vision, values, key business drivers /strategic challenges and people data insights to co-create, design, lead and implement the people strategy.

Create a strategic and proactive HR function that drives organizational success through effective working with other COE Leads and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management and Business Partnering

Builds strong partnerships with key senior business and functional leaders, and establishes creditability as a strategic business partner through developing a robust understanding of the business direction and competitive landscape.

Actively provides insights that would improve the effectiveness and decision-making of the leadership team, and leverages advanced influencing skills. Acts as a confidante, coach and constructive challenger.

Build trust and credibility as a strategic partner who understands the business and its challenges

Provide guidance and support throughout a change management journey.

Work with leaders/managers to ensure that performance reviews, feedback, and development plans are integrated and fit for purpose to address the business goals.

Foster a positive organizational culture that integrates all practices and functions and implements initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

Support and advise business leaders in addressing employee relations issues, conflicts, and grievances.

Ensure that the business adheres to labor laws, regulations, and organizational policies to help manage risks associated with employment practices and mitigate potential legal issues.

Talent and Resource Strategy & Management

Creates buy-in for an effective talent and resource management strategy that successfully attracts, develops, mobilises and retains the calibre of talents that will drive the business forward.

Participates in the organisation design and definition exercise and drives an effective talent planning agenda in alignment with the global agenda

Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives to ensure a pipeline of future leaders.

Collaborate with business leaders and TA team to identify talent needs and develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent

Delivery

Enabling and Delivery of the Vision and Values, Employee Engagement and Diversity and Inclusion Agenda.

Acts as a role model and delivers on the business vision and values for the market/client group.

Along with the leadership team, builds a high-performing culture where employees and leaders are sustainably engaged and are passionate about being the “best they can be”.

Champions and delivers on creating a more diverse workplace by leading HR initiatives that will drive change.

Ensures the business leaders are held accountable for role modelling the vision and values, leading the employee engagement and actively embedding the diversity and inclusion agenda in their goals and operations.

Lead and Develop the HR Function

Builds the HR capability across the areas of the HR function in line with the HR Target Operating Model to deliver the business strategy.

Builds a strong high potential HR talent bench in the team and contributes to the internal succession planning.

Continues to contribute to the transformation of the function with a focus on opportunities for operational efficiency and continuous improvement. - Ensures that the bulk of the HR investment is focused on high-value activities

Lead and provide high-level supervision of Office Administration & Office Operations team/s to ensure efficient and smooth office services are professionally handled.

Essential Experience

Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or equivalent.

Experience in human resources or related field for at least 10 years with at least 5 years as a Human Resources leader.

Expertise in Employee Relations, Performance Management and Employee Engagement.

Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders’ colleagues.

Experience in leading and coaching staff.

Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.

Ability to give presentations and communicate well across all levels.

Extensive knowledge of Philippine labour laws.

Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Critical Skills

Elevated stakeholder management skills.

Strong understanding across all HR facets along with delivery of specific market priorities.

Comfortable working in a matrix environment, working with other COE Leads in HR to deliver.
