We are seeking a highly skilled, business-minded, pragmatic experienced HR practitioner and leader to fill a Head of People and Labor Relations role.
This position will be reporting to the Head of People West Europe and taking on the responsibility of overseeing People Business Partners for the country as well as coordinating with other functions inside or outside People.
As a leadership role, it will involve leading a team of 3 to 4 People Business Partners.
You, together with the local team, will lead the People strategy implementation in Spain, advise on a wide range of both strategic and day-to-day human resources matters for the business and lead the Labor Relations strategy and implementation the country.

As a key business partner and advisor, you will play an essential role in supporting people and business matters within Spain, working with various teams to define and advance critical topics.
HR Generalist and Spanish Labour Relations Expertise
We are seeking an HR Generalist who possesses expert knowledge in Spanish labour relations. The successful candidate will combine their expertise in Spanish labour relations with the ability to contribute to the implementation of HR processes, tools, and solutions, delivering HR programmes and practices across various organisations in Spain. This role will address local business requirements in close collaboration with line management, HR Business Partners, and in partnership with the HR Shared Service Centre and/or HR Subject Matter Experts.
Required Knowledge and Experience
We are seeking a professional with specific and robust knowledge and expertise in Spanish labour law and industrial relations.
What you will do:
  • Lead team in the execution of People programs and practices, including balancing daily operations
  • Ensure operational plans are defined and agreed with People Head.
  • Coach and inspire team to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Inspire and engage in different type of knowledge sharing initiatives to build great employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor law and global directives.
  • Interact with Works councils and labor unions, Local government authorities, etc.
  • Facilitates local execution of organizational change initiatives and programs.
  • Act as an end-to-end accountable and ambassador from the People Function's side toward the Country Head and Leadership Team
  • Execute global and local people processes across various SME areas (Talent Acquisition, Talent and Development, Total Rewards, People Analytics, Strategy and Operations).
  • Facilitate execution of organizational change initiatives and programs
  • Support and co-lead employee engagement initiatives in the country.
  • Ensure local partner management and compliance.
  • Represent People Function on local management and governance teams.

Your typical interfaces are:
Country Manager, People Leaders, People Business Partners, People Subject Matter Experts, Local Unions, People Operation, Local Admin, Payroll and People Global Shared Services Center
You will bring:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of demonstrable experience in HR/People Function and Labor Relations.
  • Prior experience in a people management or leadership role
  • Proven, hands-on expertise in Spanish labor law and compliance, including employee relations, collective agreements, collective dismissal plans and regulatory obligations, ensuring risk mitigation and legal adherence.
  • Excellent articulation and communication skills, persuading & influencing, proactive, delivering results & able to work in tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills, Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in Spanish and English mandatory
