Description

Helfy is looking for an experienced Head of Payments to lead our global payments strategy and operations across multiple B2C markets.

In this role, you will own the entire payment ecosystem-from payment providers and acquiring relationships to payment performance, authorization rates, fraud prevention, and customer payment experience. You will work closely with Product, Finance, Operations, Data, Compliance, and Engineering to continuously optimize payment performance and support the company's international growth.

This is a strategic leadership role requiring both strong commercial thinking and deep operational expertise in online payments. The profile is similar to a Payments & Fintech leader in a large-scale B2C technology company.

Responsibilities
  • Own the company's global payments strategy across multiple B2C markets.
  • Manage relationships with payment providers, acquirers, banks, fintech partners, and alternative payment methods.
  • Continuously optimize payment approval rates, conversion, and payment success KPIs.
  • Lead payment expansion into new countries and support new payment method integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with PCI DSS compliance and payment card security standards- mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of information security standards and ISO frameworks related to data protection and payment environments.
  • Develop and execute the payments roadmap together with Product and Engineering.
  • Monitor payment performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization initiatives.
  • Own payment costs, processing fees, and commercial negotiations with external partners.
  • Lead fraud prevention initiatives while maintaining a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Finance, Data, Compliance, Customer Support, and Engineering.
  • Analyze payment data and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with payment regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage cross-functional projects related to payments infrastructure and scalability.
  • Stay up to date with emerging payment technologies, fintech trends, and market innovations.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Payments, Fintech, Payment Operations, or Payment Partnerships within a B2C technology company.
  • Proven experience managing payment providers, acquiring partners, and fintech integrations.
  • Strong understanding of the global online payments ecosystem, including card payments, digital wallets, local payment methods, and alternative payment solutions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects involving Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to improve payment performance.
  • Experience managing payment KPIs such as authorization rate, chargebacks, fraud, payment success rate, and conversion.
  • Commercial mindset with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, global technology companies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Fluent English – mandatory.

Skills Required
