Job Description
As the Head of Franchise for LEGO Botanicals and LEGO Art, you will drive strategic growth and innovation across two complementary and synergistic businesses, as well as lead the exploration of new product opportunities in the adjacent space of design and interior decor!
Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision: Develop long-term strategies for LEGO Botanicals, LEGO Art, as well the bigger territory of decor for adults in alignment with broader organizational goals and market trends.
Portfolio & Marketing: Lead product portfolio and marketing strategy to establish the LEGO brand’s impact in adult lifestyle spaces—focusing on innovation, breakthrough Go-to-Market that shift perceptions of the brand from “children’s toy” only to a design & creative medium.
Franchise Accountability: Oversee business strategy and execution for LEGO Botanicals and LEGO Art, ensuring they meet commercial objectives. Drive alignment between different franchises to optimize performance.
Leadership: Hold direct people leadership responsibility to a team of global marketeers as well as end-to-end decision mandate on the franchise cross-functional teams’ output.
Play your part in our team succeedingIn Product and Marketing Development (PMD), the global Product Groups (PGs) drive business performance, product portfolio, and global Consumer Group and/or Passion strategies. As part of the Adult Consumer Group leadership team, you will co-lead the bigger Adult CG organization, contributing to capability building, team development, and talent management. You’ll work alongside other Franchise leads to further the adult consumer group growth agenda externally and internally.
The Adults business is one of the fastest growing within the company, with an ever-expanding portfolio and marketing agenda to further expand the LEGO brand’s footprint and legacy beyond the playroom and in people’s homes and lives. This role puts you in the pilot’s seat of the next leg of this audience’s growth journey!
Do you have what it takes?
Extensive Experience in global brand, marketing, and business within the B2C sector, with a strong track record in brand development. MBA-level experience is an advantage but not required.
Art/ Design/Fashion Enthusiast: Deep cultural knowledge and a genuine curiosity to become an expert in the décor/ design space. Professional experience within these industries is a huge plus.
Human Insight: A believer in the power of human insights to unlock growth
Creative Innovator: Ability to bring fresh, original approaches to transition the LEGO brand from toy for kids to pop culture icon for adults.
Audience-Centric Approach: Passionate about serving and understanding our audiences and their passions.
Intuitive Decision-Maker: Data-driven and insight driven- with an ability to meld the art and science of marketing to transform information into impactful ideas.
Strategic Visionary: Skilled in crafting and conveying complex business strategies simply.
Effective leader: strong storytelling and presentation skills, experienced in team development. Embodying LEGO® values, while excelling in collaborative and influential discussions.
Global Events Expertise: Skilled in marketing and activations for major events.
Partner Management: Experience working with and managing IP partners, celebrities/influencers/artists.
Adult Marketing Savvy: Expertise in engaging and marketing to adult/ women audiences.
