Our client, a leading agribusiness organization, is seeking a highly experienced Head of Engineering to lead the planning, execution, and maintenance of large-scale agricultural infrastructure and farm development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing engineering operations across construction, irrigation, utilities, farm facilities, automation systems, and asset management while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and ESG standards. Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural Engineering, or related discipline
- Postgraduate qualification in Engineering Management, Project Management, MBA, or related field
- Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Six Sigma, or equivalent)
- 15-20 years managing large-scale infrastructure, agricultural, industrial, construction, or engineering projects
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex capital projects from planning through commissioning
- Strong expertise in irrigation systems, drainage networks, utilities, and agricultural infrastructure development
- Experience managing CAPEX budgets, project scheduling, contractor performance, and cost control
- Knowledge of automation systems, instrumentation, mechanization technologies, and digital transformation initiatives
- Understanding of quality assurance, quality control, engineering standards, and regulatory compliance
- Experience in asset management, preventive maintenance programs, and reliability improvement
- Familiarity with engineering design software, project management systems, and reporting tools
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Experience in large-scale agribusiness, plantation, infrastructure, construction, or industrial environments
- Willingness to travel extensively across project locations
