Logistics Operations Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Take the lead role in planning, costing, and allocating routes by ensuring vehicles’ sufficient flexibility is in place.
• Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs.
• Responsible for managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all transportation matters within the organization.
• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
• Tracking of trucks on the road.
• Trucking of the fleet and ensure the trucks have covered 500 kms a day.
• Able to make weekly loading plans for the trucks and the cargo.
• Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with the help of direct reports.
• Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement.
• Preparing of road consignment notes and record keeping.
• Handling drivers and their issues on the road.
• Client coordination.

Education & Qualifications:

• A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or equivalent.
• A prior minimum of 5 years of experience working in logistics/supply chain/transportation function with a comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures.
• Expert knowledge of technical regulations related to logistics such as import/export and customs regulations, including all transit rules and regulations, security requirements, and certification in dangerous goods handling.
• Should have full knowledge of project cargo, loading plans, and applying of permits.
• Should be flexible in the logistics industry (including port visiting, site visiting, and client meetings).
• Must be fluent in English.
