Job DescriptionTo act as Director of Jersey fiduciary regulated legal entities, provide strategic & operational direction to the fiduciary business units and fiduciary and risk related advice. Responsible for first line business risk management & quality assurance function, partnering with the Corporate Functions. Design, implement & monitor suitable quality measures to identify controls are being undertaken. Drive a culture of quality, control & transparent risk ownership, through clear leadership & direction
QualificationsOutputs:
- Act as a Member of the Fiduciary Governance Committee (Trust GovCo). Ensure that all identified risks are appropriately mitigated to minimise the risk exposure of the entity.
- Adhere to Directors duties and responsibilities in line with UK, IoM and SA Corporate Governance best practice principles, Company legislation and relevant regulation. Stay abreast of changes and development in the relevant laws or regulations, identify the changes and collaborate with stakeholders in terms of the impact of these changes on the business and where required ensure that business policies, processes and procedures are aligned to these changes to ensure compliance at all times.
- Analyse the performance of the functional area and address gaps in process, technology or people that could prevent achievement of the goals defined.
- Coach/mentor individuals or intentionally transfer knowledge to individuals on the job to mature their professional skills and careers.
- Comply with all policies and procedures relevant to the position.
- Create quarterly leave plans to ensure adequate coverage and approve leave requests and leave sale requests
