As a Group, Conference and Events (GC&E) Assistant Manager, you will support the GC&E team in maximizing revenue opportunities, delivering exceptional events, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. You will also play an important role in coaching the team and ensuring the smooth execution of the hotel's GC&E strategy.
- Drive GC&E revenue: Maximize group, conference, and event sales opportunities through proactive selling, effective follow-up, and strong conversion of customer inquiries.
- Support business performance: Assist in reviewing business plans, identifying revenue opportunities and gaps, and implementing initiatives to maximize occupancy and achieve commercial targets.
- Execute the sales strategy: Support the implementation of the hotel’s GC&E selling strategy, ensuring departmental activities are aligned with business objectives and adapted to changing market conditions.
- Build customer relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Stay ahead of the competition: Monitor local market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities and support effective sales tactics.
- Ensure process accuracy: Conduct regular spot checks on bookings, contracts, and systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and readiness for internal and external audits.
- Promote the hotel: Support and participate in promotional activities, sales calls, client events, exhibitions, and other initiatives designed to increase the hotel's visibility and generate GC&E business.
- Inspire and develop the team: Supervise, coach, and mentor team members, support performance reviews and development plans, recognize achievements, and contribute to building an engaged and high-performing team.
- Ensure exceptional event experiences: Work closely with operational departments to ensure all group, conference, and event requirements are communicated clearly and delivered to the highest standards.
- Support the department leadership: Assist the GC&E leadership team with day-to-day operations, reporting, forecasting, and other commercial initiatives as required.

A GC&E Assistant Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Previous experience in Group, Conference & Events, Sales, or a related commercial role, preferably within a luxury hotel environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a hotel sales environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GC&E sales processes, including group enquiries, proposals, negotiations, contracting, and conversion.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in hotel systems and Microsoft Office applications; experience with relevant sales and event management systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced hotel environment.
