The Government Insuring Specialist will audit and insure FHA & VA loans. An ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, will work with a team, and regularly interact with internal departments to ensure file completeness. The Government Insuring specialist will be organized, detail oriented, and understand government lending and requirements.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with a team responsible for auditing and insuring every funded government loan.
- Ensures each loan satisfies FHA and VA requirements.
- Prepare the insuring package to align with the specific agency requirements.
- Ensures the pipelines is worked within insuring timelines.
- Responsible for payments and refunds to VA and FHA
- Escalate deficiencies or Post Endorsement requests and ensure they are addressed timely.
- Manages timelines for Escrow Holdbacks and EEM mortgages.
- Works with the Post Closing team to assist in overflow activities.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- 2+ years of recent Government Insuring or Post Close experience
- Experience with FHA Connection and VA WebLGY.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and follow-up skills.
- Ability to meet rigorous deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work independently and support a team atmosphere.
- Proficiency with all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Professional demeanor and attire
Compensation: $25 - $29/hr
