Role
We are looking for a Global People Lifecycle & Process Owner based in San Jose, CA, reporting to the Director, People Services & Global Process Excellence within the People Services department. To safeguard the integrity of the Zscaler employee journey through automation and forensic auditing, you are the Reliability Engineer of the Global Lifecycle, moving the team from processing transactions to managing autonomous operations. You will be the architect of integrity, overseeing the invisible workflows that ensure every promotion, transfer, and relocation happens without a hitch.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Architect the long-term vision for Global Lifecycle operations, spearheading the evolution from manual execution to an autonomous engine
- Design the frontier between machine and human by overseeing AI-driven solutions that scan our ecosystem 24/7 to ensure absolute data integrity
- Apply Lean/Six Sigma principles to systematically identify manual touchpoints across global systems and automate them out of existence
- Act as the primary bridge to the People Systems team, translating complex Employee Experience requirements into forensic technical specifications
- Own the global data standards for GPS to ensure our systems remain clean and require zero manual reconciliation
Who You Are (Success Profile)
- [Execution] You act like an owner. Your passion for the mission fuels your bias for action. You operate with integrity because you genuinely care about the outcome. You adapt to what’s needed, navigating seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
- [Mindset] You are a problem-solver. You seek out challenges because you are energized by finding solutions, knowing that solving the hard problems delivers the biggest impact.
- [Collaboration] You are a high-trust collaborator. You are ambitious for the team, not just yourself. You embrace our challenge culture by giving and receiving ongoing feedback—knowing that candor delivered with clarity and respect is the truest form of teamwork and the fastest way to earn trust.
- [Execution] You are a pragmatic builder. You are obsessed with creating, iterating, and shipping. You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and build the first version yourself, balancing the drive for technical excellence with the need to deliver value to users quickly.
- [Execution] You champion simplicity. You are skilled at distilling complex problems, user needs, and technical concepts into clear, simple, and actionable plans. You are a precise communicator who brings clarity and focus to every interaction.
What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 7+ years in HR Operations or HR Systems, with a focus on Product Thinking and process improvement
