About the position
We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Buyer to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The Fruits and Vegetable Buyer lies within the EPDM procurement. You'll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You'll be reporting into Valentina Corbo - Non-Commodities Senior Manager. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders. The development and implementation of procurement strategies to ensure supply at the best cost will be your primary responsibility. You're constantly looking for improvement activities within procurement.
In brief, you are responsible for:
- Strategic sourcing - Develop, implement, and oversee procurement strategies for fruits and vegetables to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and reliable supply sources in alignment with the company's goals.
- Supplier Management - Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers across Europe. Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and service agreements to ensure favorable terms.
- Market Analysis - Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics for fruits and vegetables. Provide market intelligence and insights to guide procurement decisions and mitigate risks.
- Cost Optimization - Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising on quality or supplier performance. Achieve procurement KPIs related to savings, delivery performance, and quality.
- Supply Chain Collaboration - Work closely with supply chain, logistics, and production teams to forecast demand and ensure timely delivery of raw materials to meet production schedules.
- Risk Management - Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address supply chain disruptions, price volatility, and seasonal variations in supply.
- Sustainability Initiatives - Align procurement strategies with Kraft Heinz's sustainability goals, ensuring the sourcing of sustainable and responsibly grown fruits and vegetables.
- Budgeting & Reporting - Prepare and manage the procurement budget for fruits and vegetables, providing regular updates and reports on key performance metrics, spending, and procurement strategies.
Qualifications
Please kindly note that you need to have an EU Working Permit (Orientation Year Visa not included) in order to proceed for this position.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or sourcing
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, procuments systems (SAP) and analytical tools . Knowldege of SAP is a plus.

- Communication skills - Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with both internal and external stakeholders is essential. People are easily be exposed to senior management, no matter their level. Clear communication forsters collaboration and ensures that stakeholders are aligned with sourcing strategies.
- Problem solving and Analytical Thinking - Buyers need to anticipate and solve problmes quickly, wheather is's dealing with supply chain disruptions, quality issues or cost overruns.
- Adaptability and flexibility - the procurement landscape can change rapidly due to market fluctuations, supplier issues, or evolving business needs. A Buyer must be adaptable and flexible in adjusting strategies and responding to unexpected challenges, ensuring supply continuity while maintaining cost and quality objectives.
