The role
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to be our first hire in the US, embedded in our largest and fastest-growing market. You will be the technical face of RELEX Fresh to US grocery retailers, combining engineering ability with real customer presence
What we need you to do and be
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will own high-impact AI deployments from pre-sales to production. You will work directly with customers, ensuring our solutions deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Own customer Proof of Concepts (POCs) end-to-end, from scoping and technical design to validation and measurable ROI
- Manage multiple parallel pilots, ensuring clear timelines, stakeholder alignment, and strong conversion to long-term partnerships
- Partner closely with Sales to translate business needs into technical solutions and support deal closing
- Collaborate with Engineers to deliver production-ready AI
- Deploy machine learning applications (forecasting, optimization, automated decision-making) into live customer environments
What you’ll bring to the table
- Deep Engineering experience in a related field
- Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and proven experience deploying machine learning or AI solutions into production environments
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data stacks
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate technical work into measurable financial impact as well as to communicate it
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and taking full ownership of outcomes
- Comfortable with using AI in your everyday work and developing the use of AI tools as a larger organizational strategy
