JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Brand Marketing, Emerging Brands is part of the US/CAN brand marketing team and is the brand guardian in continent responsible for the integration and marketing strategy of growth brands. They will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate integration plans and marketing strategies, establish sustainment plans and multi-year planning, execute the strategy through cross-functional resources and manage the brand marketing performance (as measured by key consumer metrics).
They will partner closely with global marketing, lodging product and the broader US/Can marketing organization to develop and implement these strategies, so strong relationship building skills and an ability to drive cross-functional teams towards shared goals is integral to their success. This includes projecting managing marketing related workstreams, managing stakeholder relationships both internally and with owners/franchisees, and seeing through the successful launch and maintenance of brands integrating in Marriott’s larger ecosystem of brands. The ideal candidate has a strong background in hospitality marketing, owner, franchisee and development dynamics, and above and on property marketing strategies and systems.

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, or a related major
- 5-7 years’ experience in sales, marketing, digital, or related professional area
- Hospitality marketing experience on or above property
- Experience with performance media or digital agency experience

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Brand Marketing Strategy
- Marketing Leadership: serve as the continent marketing lead to stakeholders – cross-functional global and continent marketing teams, continent leadership, owners, franchisees, customers.
- Cross Functional Teamwork & Project Management: Work cross-functionally to develop and implement the brand marketing strategy, launch and integration plans and sustainment strategies, and ensure all aspects of the marketing function (demand gen, B2B, content, creative) are executing against that strategy accordingly. For global brands, implement global strategies in the US/Can.
- Integration and Launch Strategies: a key component for this role is working with lodging product, digital and other teams to ensure emerging brands enter and thrive in our ecosystem. Understanding the Marriott booking engine and marketing levers to be implemented to get the brands bookable and part of the system is key.
- Driving Consideration: Work with marketing, PR, loyalty to drive awareness and consideration for any new brand offering with the Bonvoy ecosystem of brands. Leverage Marriott owned channels to efficiently reach members and developed targeted paid and earned opportunities.
- Driving Revenue: Ensure emerging brands are leveraging marketing tactics aimed at driving demand for emerging brands, either through established offerings and systems or through strategic development of new tactics or campaign.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Develop related brand marketing communication decks, timelines, project plans and other related resources to broadly communicate strategy.
- Develop and manage related project plans and timelines to ensure effective and highly organized approach to all brand initiatives and business priorities.
- Work as a subject matter expert to represent brand marketing at cross brand and discipline meetings and work efforts.
- Work in both small and large multi-disciplinary project teams to build strategy for integration and launch of emerging brands.
- Partner with field marketing to develop necessary training and communications materials, demonstrating to their property or above property teams how to best leverage Marriott’s ecosystem.
- Find ways to make complex information and interaction as simple as possible with owners and franchisees through the integration process so they understand marketing’s role and strategic plans.
- Consistently meet project commitments, dates, and deliverables.
- Use systematic processes to create efficiency around processes and integration tasks. Develop consistent strategies and process that can be applied to future projects.
