Job Purpose:
The role works
closely with finance, operations, and business teams to ensure that financial
data is reliable, reconciled, and aligned with the organisation’s growth
strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial
Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and
process monthly depreciation.
- Record and account for all direct and
indirect expenses including loan disbursement charges, interest payable on
deposits, and operational expenses.
- Prepare monthly management accounts
and financial reports.
- Ensure accurate financial record
keeping and general ledger management.
Reconciliation
& Financial Controls
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
across all accounts.
- Conduct intercompany reconciliations
and resolve outstanding balances.
- Manage group cost bookings including
interest and shared expenses.
Loans &
Deposits Reporting
- Prepare monthly reports on loans and
deposits.
- Produce weekly reports covering
deposits, loans, intercompany balances, interbank payables/receivables,
and cash positions.
Payroll
& Financial Compliance
- Perform payroll accounting and
reconciliation.
- Support statutory and regulatory
financial reporting.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports
to relevant authorities.
Business
Support
- Provide financial analysis and
insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Support budgeting and financial
forecasting processes.
Other
Duties
- Perform other finance-related tasks as
assigned by management.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting,
Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (ACCA, ACA, CPA)
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant
accounting or finance experience
- Experience in banking,
microfinance, or financial services is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of financial
reporting and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel and financial systems
proficiency
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- Four to six years of relevant accounting or finance experience
- Experience in banking, microfinance, or financial services
