Overview / Purpose of the Role
Positioned at Pune office and reporting to Associate Director - Finance. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the Budgeting & Reporting function in Pune office. (Hybrid work environment) (Rostering of the work days in office)
Activities / Key Tasks
- Monthly Reporting – making the extensive monthly reports for Management to give details about the monthly financial performance leader wise.
- Ensure the accuracy & detailed commentary for all the variances, that requires in depth understanding of the transactions.
- Budgeting & Forecasting – Yearly budgeting & monthly rolling forecasts – to take complete ownership.
- Ensure all accruals and the deferrals on monthly basis are booked correctly by the accounting team.
- Generate various reports from the budget system EPBCS (Oracle based)
- Ensure that monthly billings are happening accurately
- Extensive working in Smart View for variance analysis & Oracle ERP.
- Ad Hoc- As this is a business finance role, there will be loads of Ad Hoc requirements coming the way which needs maturity & timeliness to handle.
- Although it is not complete matching of US hours but need based evening working is required and cannot be avoided.
- Exceptional & clear communication is the basic requirement.
- End to end understanding of the accounting, Journal entries is very much required to discharge the role.
Other duties
- Perform other ad-hoc requests which the job holder can reasonably be expected to undertake viz. helping the India employees with their daily accounting & finance issues.
Reporting Structure: Report to the Associate Director – Finance-India.

Person Specification
The position requires a team leader demonstrating leadership qualities, an ability to communicate effectively orally and written and shows patience while dealing with subordinates. This position requires lots of interaction with the US & the India leaders, so a polished professional with exceptional communications in the basic requirement.
The person should be able to responsible to get the task done from the team and effectively communicate the progress to the supervisor.
Exposure on transfer-pricing and intercompany billing previously will be an added advantage.
Practical and proven experience in a FP&A environment with a US based company, with 9-10 years works experience.
Good interpersonal skills and an ability to tailor approach to deal appropriately with all levels of contact.
Assertive and self-confident.
